She conducted herself with quiet strength, a warm expression and a optimistic attitude that lifted people around her,” the principal, the head of Beckstrom’s alma mater, informed the Associated Press. “She was caring, considerate and always willing to assist people.”

Law enforcement have accused a 29-year-old suspect with a charge of first-degree murder and two counts of assault with intent to kill while carrying a weapon.

“She had a lot of compassion and she absolutely had bravery,” he told the audience at the vigil. “Though her life ended too soon, she has made an impact that’s going to endure.”
