The visionary game developer, the mind behind the wildly popular franchise Call of Duty, has passed away in a traffic collision in California he was 55 years old.
His passing was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, a game studio that he helped create.
The celebrated industry figure lost his life when his vehicle was involved in a crash and burst into flames on a freeway in LA on this past Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This is a devastating loss, and our hearts are with Vince's loved ones, his family, and everyone impacted by his legacy," an official with Electronic Arts commented.
