Brassic Ends Its Run with Influenced by Tarantino Finale

The creators Joseph Gilgun and Danny Brocklehurst are concluding on their comedy series about a close-knit group of likable chancers causing chaos in a rural Lancashire town. One could anticipate the finale to be a nostalgic highlight reel of alcohol, substances, and playful theft. However, the vibes are distinctly darker as the character Vinnie, played by Gilgun and the crew barricade themselves in a bar with gangster Davey MacDonagh for a climactic 50th episode apparently inspired by the filmmaker Quentin Tarantino.

The Show Dragons' Den

8pm, BBC One
Dancers from the ballet world enter the den this week, as single mothers Laura and Stacey pitch their range of adaptive dance attire – and cause Peter Jones to become flustered. Next, an eye surgeon turned inventor has a smart device for lost tape ends.

The Series All Creatures Great and Small

9pm, Channel 5
The veterinary adventures are all fine, but this superior period drama proves its worth with emotional character development. An especially moving installment weaves the stories of a lame shire horse and a vanished calf into a more serious storyline centring on Tristan, whose behaviour prompts a fraternal intervention.

The Hack

9pm on ITV1
It’s been a long road. But the penultimate episode of this initially sluggish but ultimately compelling phone-hacking drama sees David Tennant’s Nick discovering details about the actions of the News of the World that the rest of the media simply can’t ignore. The situation improves for the character Dave, who has a surprising new ally.

RuPaul's Drag Race UK

9pm on BBC Three
Jazz hands at the ready: it’s time to present Peter Pansy – The Musical! That means the stress increases for the queens to sing, dance, act and finally impress as they get ready for the show. And who better to guest judge than West End stage legend Mazz Murray, alongside the panel including Graham Norton, Michelle Visage, and RuPaul.

The Series The Iris Affair

9pm, Sky Atlantic
Anyone afraid of insects will want to fast-forward as the sixth episode starts, before something of a Mexican (or rather Sardinian) standoff occurs, when Cameron forces Iris to exchange her journal for the hostaged Joy – else she’ll be “shot repeatedly” from Meski’s menacing drone … What escape plan can they devise?
